You're good to go.
A chance of rain is not an amount of rain. Forty percent odds of four hundredths of an inch
is a wash day. That gap is the whole reason this page exists — the lightning bolt on a phone
shows up whenever a storm is possible anywhere in the county, however thin the odds and
however little actually falls.
Where the numbers come from. Chance of rain, sky condition, high temperature and alerts are
National Weather Service, read from the Fort Worth and Midland zone forecasts (TXZ093, TXZ100,
TXZ116, TXZ117, TXZ048). Expected rainfall and the hour-by-hour bars are AccuWeather accumulation
figures.
Refreshed every hour, 6 AM to 10 PM. Check the stamp at the top
of the page: if it is more than about ninety minutes old, or the date is not today's, the refresh job
did not run — tell Mel. A dash in the hour-by-hour strip means no reading was pulled for that
hour.
